Bay Breeze

With temperatures and leaves falling, it seems like the perfect time to do some sailing. All of our sailing this summer seemed to be cold weather sailing so taking a long weekend in October to play in the water seems the natural step---perhaps even schlepping some boats up to Northport??? November is the latest I have ever been sailing and I sure would not be opposed to try for December in Michigan!

Oddly enough, I get a kick out of late, late season sailing also. We keep a boat in the water and ready to sail into November just because you never know if you're going to get some good days - and every year we do get some good days well into November. It all depends on being flexible enough to jump on the opportunity. But then there's Capt. Dan who lives on his boat year round in Traverse City. In milder winterers when the Marina doesn't freeze over, he's sailing 12 months out of the year! Thanks for the pics, Tina. Maybe we'll see you on the water this Fall!
